This was the lesson I taught on Colonial Williamsburg back in October. The kids got to "visit" 6 places in Colonial Williamsburg and then do a worksheet on each place they visited. It was a lot of fun and I think, for the most part, they enjoyed it!
I had to create an interactive bulletin board for one of my classes so I did it around the lesson I taught. There were cards on the clothespins with descriptions of each location they visited. Each student had to come to the board and pick a card, then put it in the correct pocket. I was not able to be there when they used it, but Mrs. Green said it was wonderful! Speaking of teaching, I will be student teaching in Snook in a 4th grade Language Arts/Social Studies class starting January 3rd!!!! I am SO excited!! :)West Coast Conference 2011!!! Was AWESOME! We had SO much fun! My cousin, Melanie, from Ohio flew in and met Brittany and I there. It was so good to see her (since it had been 2 years) and spend some time together. We got there on Wednesday and Melanie left Sunday, Brittany and I left Monday morning. On Sunday night, we decided to visit the Hyler's church. It was awesome!! Always love getting to see them! Needless to say, we were completely exhausted from the trip, but loved every minute of it! I was so happy to see all my sweet friends there too!
Love all my sweet friends!!
I know there are probably things I have missed, but this is all for now. Hey, at least I got WCC pictures up! ;) [Even if they are a month late.]
I am so excited it is December! Can't believe it's already here! I have been finished with school for about 2 weeks now (minus my online class) and it has been wonderful! I have a new found love with pinterest. If you've never explored before, you must now! Addiction! This is how I plan on spending my Christmas break! :) Oh, and my last official day of work is December 15th and I couldn't be more excited! :)
I'll try and do better about posting next time, but no promises! :)
